As an Evanston native, she is excited to return home and serve the area she grew up in. She earned her Master's in Applied Theatre from City University New York, and a BFA in Theatre Arts from Boston University. Kira values creating theatre that centers around community engagement, social justice, and education for young people and adult.
Her work prior to Y.O.U. has explored mental health, body image, and women's stories of survival. She has worked as an artist and educator in Chicago, New York, Boston and Italy. She is grateful to work for an organization that honors the power and creativity in young people, and in creating a more just, and equitable world.
