Casey first joined Y.O.U. in the summer of 2014 on a consulting basis to research the expansion of the community schools model in Evanston and authored a report providing recommendations to the Evanston Community Schools Initiative Leadership Council.
Casey worked previously as an Associate Director at Heartland Alliance where she coordinated a culinary training program for homeless adults, managed the construction of a community and cultural center, and developed a resident services initiative for affordable housing residents. Casey has been involved throughout the Evanston community over the last decade serving on the McGaw YMCA, Cherry Preschool, and Kingsley PTA Boards of Directors, the C.O.P.E. advisory board, and the Evanston Community Schools Initiative Leadership Council, and is a graduate of Leadership Evanston.
Casey received a BA in sociology from Kenyon College and a master’s degree from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration. Casey was born and raised in Evanston and has returned with her husband, George, to raise their two daughters, Sofia and Madeline. Casey enjoys running, yoga, badminton, walks with Auggie (her puppy), and spending time with family and friends.
