Diego is a West Chicago native, growing up and living in Pilsen. He attended elementary and middle school through Chicago Public Schools and graduated from De La Salle Institute in 2015. He later attended Loyola University Chicago for his BA in Psychology in 2019. During his years in college, Diego worked as a Peer Advisor for the Office of First and Second Year Advising, helping incoming university students with their college transition. Being Hispanic, Diego has always been passionate about social justice and minority counseling and services. Diego is eager to get to know everyone at Y.O.U and is excited for all future endeavors that will happen within the next year while working with AmeriCorps.
During his free time, Diego likes to watch the Cubs, try out new restaurants, go on runs along the lakefront, and binge watching good shows on Netflix (recommendations accepted).
