Kennedy was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. She attended The College of Wooster with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Studio Art. Her Senior Independent Study, “Self, Identity, and Stigma: An Examination of the Chronically Ill Athlete,” investigated the relationship between one’s self and identity in comparison with the stigma of being a person with a chronic illness or disability, in addition to being an athlete. During her time at Wooster she was a member of both the soccer and track and field team.
In her free time she enjoys playing and coaching soccer, running, hiking, lifting, and playing card games. Kennedy aspires to one day be a sports psychologist, and is excited to learn and interact with the Chicago youth!
