Olive was raised in Anchorage, Alaska and graduated high school from West Anchorage High School in May of 2018. She is pursuing a degree in Psychology, specifically with a focus on work within the juvenile justice system. In Alaska she was involved in a number of different programs with a focus on youth advocacy, skill-building, and case management. As both a Board Member and team leader she worked extensively on improving access to mental health and housing services for youth, while also developing individualized curriculum for schools and raising educational awareness on youth-specific topics through a harm reduction lens.
She recently moved to Evanston to work with Y.O.U. through AmeriCorps and explore other opportunities for personal, professional, and academic development. She looks forward to meeting new people from a variety of backgrounds and continuing to foster her passion for music, community involvement, and learning new things in order to help make the world a healthier and more inclusive place.
