Marya Frankel

Marya Frankel is a former junior high school teacher and now a stay at home mom in a blended family with six kids.

Marya Frankel has been a mentor with Boys Hope/Girls Hope and Evanston Scholars, a tutor at Books and Breakfast and involved in other local organizations including Erie Health Center and ESCCA. She serves on the board of the Justin Wynn Foundation and the Frankel Family Foundation. She started as a volunteer at Y.O.U. in 2007 and more recently has been involved with their culinary program.

Marya has a BA in English Literature and MA in Education from the University of Illinois and taught in the Chicago Public schools in the 1990’s.  Marya and her husband Peter grew up in Evanston and graduated from Nichols Middle School and Evanston Township High School. All 6 of their kids are former or current ETHS students.
