Y.O.U. Virtual Programming

Published: March 31, 2020

During this time, Y.O.U. staff have initiated hundreds of contacts with participants and caregivers to connect and assess needs, and to share important information on resources available in the community.

Y.O.U. is responding quickly and responsibly. We are building and delivering virtual programs to support youth and families. Our teams are using Google Classroom, podcasts, and other platforms to ensure that youth stay engaged with learning, stay in touch with each other, and stay aware that we are here for them.

Our clinical services are more important than ever during this challenging time. Our Youth and Family Counselors are conducting remote counseling sessions, continuing case management, and linking families to needed resources. And, of course, our 24-7 housing crisis hotline continues without disruption.

While the COVID-19 pandemic is not a crisis that we expected, Y.O.U. continues to live into our mission of meeting the emerging needs of young people and their families. We take comfort in knowing that we are positioned to do so and have the support of our funders, donors, and partner organizations in our community.  Y.O.U.’s relationship-based approach; our ongoing emphasis on building academic, social, and emotional success; and our highly skilled team of professionals make us uniquely suited to face the challenges of today.
