Roland Martel :: Y.O.U. Evanston

Roland Martel is a retired senior executive with extensive experience in corporate leadership, strategy, organizational development, and talent development. He spent more than two decades with Illinois Tool Works (ITW), where he held several senior leadership positions, including Executive Vice President and member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team.

He currently serves as an independent board director for EFC International, where he provides strategic guidance and executive coaching. Roland also brings significant nonprofit and community leadership experience. He served as a National Trustee for Boys & Girls Clubs of America and has held leadership roles with organizations including the Boy Scouts of America and United Way. Earlier in his career, Roland taught middle school math, giving him an additional connection to education and youth development. Roland holds an MBA from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Colby College.

He and his wife, Adele, have a longstanding connection to Y.O.U., with Adele previously serving as a member of Y.O.U.’s Board of Directors.
